Fr. Tom Flanagan was born in Sibley and raised on a farm near Rock Rapids, IA. In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in German and a Master’s degree in Theology, he holds a Master’s Degree in Church Music and Liturgy and a Doctorate in Counseling Supervision. He was ordained in 1974. Fr. Tom is active in the Secular Institute of Diocesan Priests in the Opus Spiritus Sancti. He was assigned to St. Joseph’s Parish in 2009 as an Associate Pastor. He became Pastor of St. Joseph in 2011. He enjoys walking, reading and playing bridge.
Fr. Shinoj Jose was born and raised in Kerala; a state in the southern India. He finished all his studies in India and came to the United States and joined St. Joseph’s parish as an Associate Pastor in 2015. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Indian and Western Philosophy and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Jana Deepa Vidyapeet, Pune; Pontifical institute of Philosophy and Religion. He was ordained in 2010 and worked in two parishes as an Associate Pastor and Pastor before he came to the United States. He enjoys biking, walking and fishing. His family consists of his mother, an elder sister and a younger brother. His father died when he was six years old.

Parish Business Manager
A native of Milford, Susan Reiser has been employed by St. Joseph Catholic Church since August of 1993. As Business Manager, Reiser is responsible for the day-to-day financial operation of St. Joseph. She resides on a farm with her husband, Dean. They are the parents of son, Joey. Reiser is active on boards and committees throughout the county and enjoys bingo and bridge.
Faith Formation Director
Born and raised in the lakes region, Mayer joined the St. Joseph Parish Staff in July of 2012 as Director of Faith Formation. She is responsible for weekly after school classes for grades K-12 as well as Family Formation, which meets once a month. She oversees the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation and Adult Faith Formation. The Mayers reside in rural Milford. Sharon and Bob are the parents of four children. Mayer enjoys traveling when she can.
Director Of Music
Music has been a part of my life since I can remember. Growing up on a farm east of Estherville, I started studying piano at 4 years old and began playing the organ for church when I was 13. In high school and college, I played trumpet and percussion in concert and jazz band and accompanied the choir. I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD where I received my BA in Government and International Studies. I have been the music director at St. Joseph’s since January 2010. In my free time I give piano lessons, accompany the Many Voices Choir and perform as much as I can. I have 3 children and live in Okoboji.
Director of Youth Ministry
Teresa Goehring was born and raised in Hartford, SD with six siblings. As Director of Youth Ministry at St. Joseph, Goehring oversees the middle school, high school and college youth programs that balance scripture study with service components. She is employed full-time with the Okoboji School System as a Counseling Interventionist and holds degrees in biology, physics and special education and Master degrees in counseling and behavior strategist II. Goehring and husband, Scott, reside in rural Milford and are the parents of Gabriel, Grace and Allison. She enjoys running, snow- boarding and reading in her spare time.
From cleaning to landscaping, repair to snow removal, Bill Cook has been busy at St. Joseph since Sept. 13, 1999. He resides in rural Milford with his wife, Lynnette. They are the parents of three and the grandparents of two. He enjoys hunting and doing taxidermy work.
Milford native Irma Reiser has been employed as rectory housekeeper since November of 1996. In addition, she is responsible for cleaning parish offices. Reiser resides in rural Milford with her husband, Art. She enjoys baking and eating out in her spare time.
