If you’ve watched Mass online in the last week, you’ve likely noticed the much improved video quality of our liturgies that are posted online. It is thanks to several staff members, volunteers, and financial contributors that the project is nearing completion. Thank you to Shane Akin and Mick Mulder in their assistance installing the new system, and thank you to Susan Reiser, Jeff and Julie Kliegl, and Alana Kliegl in managing the live-streams for each liturgy.
We are excited to offer live-streaming so that those who are worshipping from home can continue to share in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist from St. Joseph Catholic Church. This ministry has not only been a welcome addition to live-stream our daily and weekend Masses, it has served our parish in the event of First Communion and funeral liturgies when many could not make it because of distance or health-related reasons.
We are excited to make these upgrades as it’s just another way we can share our faith with those who may not be able to join us in person for any reason, aligning with our parish mission and vision statement: “We are committed to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and invite you to join us! May the Holy Spirit lead us in living as a welcoming Catholic community.”
Our new system is very user friendly, and can be managed by volunteers of all technical backgrounds and levels. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please contact Cain at [email protected] or 712.338.2274, ext. 11. Training is provided for all who wish to volunteer.
We are continually accepting donations to assist in the completion of the project, and then to provide continual updates, upgrades, and additions of equipment as we progress with the new ministry. To donate towards this ministry, please visit stjosephmilford.org/give and select the “Online Ministry” tab. Checks can also be mailed to the parish office:
Thank you to all who have contributed so far to make this project a success. Thank you, again, to those who were involved in the installation of the equipment, and those that operate the live-streams for each liturgy.
