On last Friday, March 19,  we celebrated the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Hughes said a blessing over a newly donated St. Joseph statue that has been placed in the entrance to the church.

A second statue was also purchased of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It has been placed in the parish hall.

The statues were hand carved in the Italian Village of Ortesiei and came to our parish from a closed church on the East Coast.

We would like to say a word of thanks to the donors who purchased the statues of St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary. These statues are beautiful additions to our religious art collection at St Joseph Catholic Church.
